In 2006 I had my first cervical fusion at c-6 - c-6. Two weeks after the surgery, I was in horrible pain and went and seen the surgeon again. He said it was healing this went on for 1 year until I went to a neurologist. He said the screw moved and the plate or disk slipped and it needed to be fixed, and that my surgeon should do the disk under it because it was also gone. So, I had the second surgery. Two weeks after that surgery on c-6 - c-7 I was in horrible pain again. I have gone thru mri's and now a cat scan. The pain goes down the back and also thru the shoulder blades and arms. The arms for the most part are numb all the time. The surgeon did tell me the screw moved two weeks after the surgery and he was going to moniter it. Is this a normal thing that screws move? On the new mri, it says the disk under that c-6 - c-7 surgery is bulging now. There was nothing wrong with this disk, but now it is bulging. I would really like to know if I am ever going to get out of this pain. Do you think he needs to fix the screw? I know the neorologist here said he needs to look at the screw and the disk under it. When I ask about it my surgeon says we will keep watching it. Is it possible it is this screw causing the pain? Thank you foofoo
