Hi. I have a problem with itching. And no, it's not from poison ivy, poison oak, sunburn, rashes, bug bites, etc. It's from me thinking about itching, and it will make me itch. Anywhere. It's all in my mind. And for some reason I can't get my mind off of it and it will make me itch more. And if I could just stop thinking about it I would, but it's not that easy. So is there any way to get rid of this problem? The only 3 possible solutions I could think of is:
A:) getting hypnosis therapy.
B:) taking pills that make me numb so I can't feel to itch.
C:) somehow eliminating the histamine chemical from my body, or nerves so it's not even possible for me to itch anymore.
You're help will be GREATLY appreciated.

It maybe would be beneficial for you to be examined by your Dr. for a physical condition or mental one. Then a proper referral for treatment. Stress and anxiety conditions too can cause itching, and so can obsessive compulsive disorders. Good Luck,

I think you're first idea was by far the best. Hypnosis therapy might be able to cure you of this, but I wouldn't want to take pills unnecessarily, and as far as I know there is no way to completely eliminate histamine from your body. If there was, I would have done it by now.
