I am a 47 y.o. female and I have had several years of problems with my right ear. I have had chronic ear infections since I was a child. I was told I have 3 bacteria in my ear. E coli, staph, and a "C" word bacteria (I THINK Campylobacter). I do know no yeast was detected. I had surgery 2 years ago-mastoidectemy- as well as insertion of an ear tube but neither worked. Ive been on Augmentin, Cipro, cefoluxan, vancomycin, levaquin, batrim, amoxicillin, and “jesus juice” cetrafloxin IV. NOTHING has worked. I have been to an infectious disease DR who recommended I go on cetrafloxin but after 9 days there was no improvement. A CT scan was performed recently and the Dr’s said they saw something and now I am scheduled for an MRI. Given these circumstances I am concerned as to what my condition could be and how I can finally resolve my ear infections. If anyone has ANY advice or knowledge I would greatly appreciate it. I am desperate at this point.
