Does increased muscle tone in infants legs always indicate a CP dx?
I had my infant in for a cold over the holidays and the pediatrician (not her primary pediatrician) mentioned she had increased tone in her legs and this is something to keep an eye on as it can be a sign of cerebral palsy. She has hit most milestones. She rolls over both directions, has great grasp, reaches for toys, rolls to get to what she wants. She has good head/neck control. My worry is that she has not sat unsupported yet. (Well, she has balanced herself for 10 seconds and then arches her back.) Her 9 month appt is at the end of Jan. I spoke to her primary pediatrician and he said he would check her tone at her 9 month appt. I am just worried. Any advice would be appreciated.
