I had a Lithotripsy, ureteric stent, etc because of kidney stones. Since, I have had severe bladder pain, mild flank pain, and unable to walk without making pain worse (not relieved by pain medications). Is that normal with a stent? How long does it take before the pain gets better? Thanks.

I'm not the Dr. and I wouldn't begin to even guess. If your pain is not being relieved with the meds prescribed you should call your Dr. and let him know and discuss your questions with him. He may prescribe another medication for pain as well.

I called my doctor. The secretary said the only way they would take the stent out was if I had passed all of the debris from the stones. So I'm going to the hospital. I puked up blood not too long ago. Checked my urine & my red blood cells, white blood cells, & protein is sky high. That can't be good. The pain is worse than the pain I had from the kidney stones. And I've had blood pouring out of me nonstop, though she said it was normal with the stent. I don't believe that. Something here just isn't right.

How can it be normal if you poured a lots of blood in you. You must rush into near hospital if they wont assist you. You might be in danger.

Perhaps this stent is standing wrong that's why you feel bladder pain. In any case you should visit your doctor.

don't take it for granted, if you feel there's something wrong, then do something about it. you know yourself better than anyone else.
