I had multiple surgeries a few years ago. I had acute pancreatitis due to blunt trauma caused by a car wreck and complications from being tub fed for 3 weeks while I was in a coma.I also had gall stones blocking the duct from the pancreases into the digestive tract. This took 3 months to finally be diagnosed and I lost 100 lbs in the process.
The psudocysted contained a liter and half of fluid. It was mostly pancreatic enzymes and old blood. They made an incision from the bottom of my sternum and goes vertically down to my belly button. They drained the cyst into my stomach and removed my gal bladder because of the stones. From the wreck I had most of the ribs on the right side broken, a ruptured spleen, Bruised Lungs, Liver, and Kidney. So I am a little paranoid when I get odd pains.
As of the last week or so on the right side of the scar I am getting a burning sensation. If I press on it the pain does not feel like its coming from the inside at all. It feels like I have a constant sun burn in that area. So far it has not gotten bigger or worse. It does not hurt much and is more of a bother than anything. I have worse pain elsewhere because of the accident so this is nothing to me. I have put all the weight I lost 2 years ago back on and then some. Could this be because of the scar getting stretched or bad posture due to my weight? Is this something that I should be concerned about and do you suggest I see my family doctor.
Thank You
