Hello, I met with an accident 2 months ago injuring my right knee. There was an abrasion/ deep wound which has healed a lot, used gels to prevent infection. MRI scans ruled out ligament injury. Now I'm able to bend my knee but not completely. Also minor shocks/jerks to the leg cause pain in the knee. Discomfort lasts for upto 2 days after this. However there is no pain at all while walking. Uncomfortable while getting down stairs, as i can't put my total weight & bend the knee. Though i can take complete weight even when standing only on right(injured) leg or walking.
Recently my doctor suggested few exercises & also gave these tablets SAM-e 400mg. Please explain what is wrong with my knee? Will it heal on its own or should i be concerned??

Sorry to hear about your knee injury. It's good that you don't have pain while walking. Full recovery generally depends on the extent of injury and the patient's over all health. You should do the recommended exercises, keep your appointments with your doctor, and let him know about certain movements that your knee couldn't seem to tolerate.
