Is this possible to cause an infection by an injury caused by fall?

While i was replacing bulb of my kitchen, i fell from ladder on the kitchen floor. Initially i was okay but then i felt some pains in my body and bit injury rashes.

When I started woking hard on computer I had an uninfectional inflammation in my right hand - without any injury. But if you had injury with a skin destruction - infection is the most possible consequence.
