Ok, going to get straight to the point. A couple of days ago I took 40 solpadol capsules (not sure what they are called in the US), but this amounted to 20g of paracetamol. Basically, I spent the following 6 hours with occassional vomiting, and have had no adverse effects since. I am aware that this dosage is likely to cause liver failure, but since it has been 60 hours since I took them and I have no abdominal pain or jaundice, am I still at risk?

Please do not reply with criticism or nasty comments about reasons why I took the pills, I'm just looking for an answer to my question...

Hi. Based on this site: http://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/document.aspx?documentId=6991#OVERDOSE
liver damage from paracetamol overdose may become apparent 12-48 hours after ingestion. I've read that after 24-72 hours, symptoms such as nausea and vomiting may resolve or become less evident, but this doesn't mean that you're spared from liver damage. I recommend that you contact your doctor at the soonest possible time. Doctor's evaluation and blood tests would confirm whether the overdose has damaged the liver and kidneys.
