I've been on remicaid for about a month now, 2 treatments so far. For the last 2 weeks, I've been having a lot of abdominal pain/discomfort. I've seen a doctor 3 times been to the ER twice, had a CT scan, xrays, ultrasounds, bloodwork, and a UA done. Everything came back normal with the exception of enlarged lymphnodes in my abdomen.

In those 2 weeks, I've lost a total of 17 pounds. I am eating and drinking, a little less then normal due to the abdominal pain and nasuea, but I am.
Just a few days ago, I noticed my stools were getting smaller and smaller. No matter how often I go, it feels like I always have to go. My physician insists it's just a bout of the flu, but this doesn't feel like any flu I've ever had. I've been so tired the last few days. Should I be worried? Or should I just trust my doctor?

Hi. The symptoms that you've mentioned -tiredness, abdominal pain, and nausea- are among the side effects associated with Remicade use. The next time you visit your doctor, perhaps you should ask him what could help alleviate your symptoms. It's also important to inform him that you've lost 17 pounds in 2-weeks time. Patients experiencing rapid weight loss are advised to seek medical consultation. Failure to get adequate nutrients may increase one's risks of health problems.
