Surgery nerve damage ??

I have moderate/severe nerve damage in my foot due to an injury that happened 11 months ago. I've tried all kinds of meds but due to my sensitivity to meds & cortosone shots did nothing but hurt like heck for days after, the only meds that doesnt see to make me sick or give me screaming headaches is Tramadol. It works somewhat, but if Im on it too much, the next day, I'm in extreme pain & the tramadol does nothing.
My question is, is there a surgery that cuts or burns the damaged nerves out? I'd rather feel nothing in my foot then the pain I feel now..

possibly there is but do you honestly want to do that? i mean if you have to do that without knowing the consequences, you might regret it in the end.
