Yes, I know that this is not a real medical term. It is something that I had come across online.
Basically, I get itchy sensations on my body. It feels like a bug crawling, but there is no lice. I've been to a doctor to clarify this. It happens many times a day. On my head, face, eyebrows, groin, basically everywhere. It simply feels like there is a bug crawling around. This condition has been consistant for many years. I've tried so many things to try and rectify this. I used lice shampoo, changed regular shampoos, soaps, detergents, bathed every day, bathed every 2nd or 3rd day (not willing to go beyond 3 days lol), inspected every inch of my body for a sign of any kind of bug, etc. It doesn't go away. Nothing helps.
I have also noticed, after years of observing, that people around me seem to start scratching. And no, it's not because I start scratching. I have withheld from scratching to see if the result has been the same. It has. It is as if people are allergic to me. I want to ask co-workers or friends if they notice anything, but am too embarassed to do so.
I have been in relationships with two women that have children. In both of these relationships the children have gotten lice, and it seems impossible for them to get rid of it using the correct methods prescribed by doctors. They just keep getting it. Yes, I am aware that lice is very common in children, but why didn't it ever go away? And with them constantly having lice, how could I live in the same house and never have a louse on me? My partner would get it too. We would sleep in the same bed, have "relations", etc.; but never a louse on me. And yes, they did have lice. We took them to the doctor, and lice is very easily distinguishable. In one relationship we battled THEIR lice for almost a year before I left. And I never got it once. How can this be possible? Is there such a thing as being immune to lice? Maybe I have some kind of disease that causes the lice to avoid me? Unfortunately, after these relationships, I've never had contact with them to see if they were able to get rid of it after I left.
Something is wrong. Makes me wonder if I have some kind of conditon causing this. It makes me wonder if I'm some kind of host.
I have researched this online. I've read forums with people displaying simular conditions. Minus the lice thing. They feel itchy, like bugs crawling on them, but there is nothing there. And they feel as if others around them are allergic to them. Others seem to start getting really itchy around them. None of these forums came up with an answer. None of the doctors had any ideas, besides that it could be a mental thing. I don't think so. I truly feel the itches. I see them all scratching away when they are around me.
Now you can come at me with the whole "people get itchy, it's normal". This is not normal.
I've been to the doctor myself. He looked in my hair and pubic area, and said there is nothing there. Which, of course, I already knew. I am kinda shied off from seeing doctors very often, as one almost killed me in a routine gall bladder surgery. He sliced my bile duct, I got rushed by ambulance to the nearest major centre, where I had to have surgery where they removed a piece of my intestine to repair his damage to my bile duct. (life has been good to me huh? lol) Oh well, I guess I can thankful that I am still alive.
Anyway, I got off the subject alittle.
I've thought of the scenario where I am just allergic to something, the contagious thing is simply mental, and the lice thing was purely coicidence. I guess it could be possible, but I don't think so.
Has anyone out there heard or experiences simular things? Does anyone know what's going on here? There is nothing I'd like more than peace of mind and non itchiness.
Okay, I'll stop now before I'm published as a medical journal.

Have you been tested for allergies to address your itching. I would not worry about others stratching. I would not worry about the lice since you have been seen by your Dr. It could be allergy to something to cause your skin to itch. My opinion is your reading too much in to this esp. people being allergic to you. Discuss with your Dr. the allergy testing , maybe you can get some relief from the itch and not make this a compulsion. Also stress and anxiety are factors to limit. Good Luck to you.
