Hi

About six months ago I noticed that I had a small painless ulcer sized lump on the inside of the bottom row of my gums. I kinda ignored it, which maybe I shouldn't have, but today it is still there. I am pretty sure that it has not grown at all, but I am more concerned because I have also noticed a soft flat lump behind my left ear. (the same side as the 'not-ulcer') This lump is soft and slippy to touch ('slippy' meaning if I put any pressure on it with my finger then it slides around like on a hot water bottle or something.).
Anyway, I am pretty worried about these two lumps. Especially the first one considering what 'painless ulcer in mouth' gives you on google.
I am going to see my doctor in a few days but until then I am tearing my hair out with worry.
What are the chances that these two lumps are connected? Could the one in my mouth be anything apart from the C word????
I have pretty bad teeth if that helps.....

Thank you very much for you time.

hello,i'm not a doctor.but as far as the lump behind the ear? i also have one.
its been there for years, never knew it was there til i went groping around back there. it hasnt grown. for the lump in your mouth, is it white? how big is it? are you having toothaches too?

well that's a relief. only on one side right?

the lump in my mouth is kind of a lighter pink than the rest of my mouth, nearly white, but not obviously so. It's really not big at all, like less than a cm in diameter. no toothaches, only wisdom teeth ache sometimes...but that's further back in my mouth and I think not related...

actually i only have a lump behind my ear, sorry if i mislead you, but as for the one in your mouth, i thought it mightve been related to tooth or gum disease.

oh, yes. one side, right behind the ear on the bone. it moves around, had me worried a lot when i found it about twenty years ago lol. about the size of...lets say a ladybug?

You do have glands behind your ears and many people question them but turns out they are just that. But any lump should be examined by your Dr. to be sure. He should also see the lump in your mouth, could be an abcess or growth. At which point he can address and give you an antibiotic then tell you to be seen by a dentist , or if a growth for removal. Good Luck to you and do let us know.
