hello, my name is John and i am a college athleate who just got the stomach virus about three days ago and before i got it i was at 192 lbs and now i am at 182 lbs i cannot affored to lose any more weight because of the sport i play in college. I was woundering when do you think i will get better, i feel a little bit better every day but i want to get my eating paters back on track so i can hit the weights again. How much time should i take off before goign back into the gym?

Hi John. What symptoms do you have at the moment? You lost a lot of fluids. I think that you should see your doctor for your dehydration status to be evaluated.

Well, I was at 192 lbs thn 180 but now I'm at 186:(, I was woundering how long it wud take me to het back, I'm feeling much better now thank god! And I'm eating more as well, I was taking creatine to and that made me drink a lot of water and it wud jus go right through me but now I'm holding it much better

Good to know that you are feeling better. In any health condition, the recovery time varies from person to person. It is influenced by a number of factors such as age, the severity of the disease and the person's over all health. A young, healthy person like you is likely to recover faster than someone who is of advanced age who lives a sedentary lifestyle. I'm afraid that only the doctor who examined you could tell you exactly when it is okay for you to to resume your activities. I understand that it is very important for your to return to your normal routine, I really hope that your condition would continue to improve. Good luck.
