Please, please help.....

There is a girl at work who makes this sound like she's going to throw up a mess of phlegm. She says she doesn't cough up anything so we shouldn't be grossed out. Is this a tic or an obsessive disorder of some type? Someone told her a few months back to stop and she did for a couple months, but now she's doing it again. The company will not address it with her and she supposedly has been to the doctor and said there is no problem. We are getting grossed out, she does it like twice a minute, unless she is talking to someone.

Isn't it amazing the things about other people that grate on our nerves. Maybe she has a post nasal drip and constant muscus to clear in her throat. People do have ticks, clearing ones throats but if there is alot of audible muscus this can be very irritating and make some people nauseated.
If this is just a recent happening and she has been to a Dr. hopefully it will stop. Is she a smoker that keeps chronic bronchitis, allergy with post nasal drip really she should get treated and stay on a med regime. Maybe you can tell her your worried about her health and be seen again or a second opinion. Does she have asthma?
I don't know what kind of work your in but if customers are offended by this the boss should address her problem and see she seek medical and or pshycological help.
