lung problems from soil have you ever heard of this

My husband has micro spot all over his lungs the doctor PA said it looks like dirty lungs is how she describe it when the doctor came in he said that he is 90 percent certain that these spots are a bacteria from the soil he said he has been see inf lots of this in the area it gives you symptoms like TB but it isnt TB and it is not contagious .Has anyone ever heard anything like this.thanks patty

No meds yet he is having a bronoscopy wed want to make sure that is what it is.

reading that link it said south-central and midwestern United States and Canada. in the soil here I live In Virginia on the coast which I thought was consider the east so maybe it is the same thing and has spread future it sure sounds alot what the doctor was talking about .
Is Histoplasmosis differt than the one you mention thanks.

Well it has been a long hard road and we are still dealing with this issue. My husband has been on so many z pack antibiotics and preissone he put on 20 pounds. The results of the test we took there is no cancer but there are some nodules there really small but he is almost certain it is not cancer he said the only way to check would be to open him up which we dont want. We were floor that he actually told us my husband had emesyma and he was stun no doctor ever told my husband this before. He said he can tell he has had it for years. Anyway he showed me the on the computer what the xrays and cat scan show and there were all those little black spot he said that even though it came back not showing it we can see something there and he said when he is doing the bronscopy he is looking at it like 3d and he cant really always get the piece he needs if that makes since it did when he explain it but he said we can see it there and he said he is certain is it from the soil.

Today he had a lung function test she said his lung capacity was 5.9 can anyone tell me what that mean she said I'm not a doctor I cant tell what the test say but I can tell you that and his hemoglobin my husband heard 14 something I swore I heard her say 4.96 which i think that is low but reading i think 14 something was right for his age so that is probably more like it any thoughts.

Right now he said the best thing to do is lose the 20 pounds and wlk and it is hard becuase any activity gives him out when he walks he cant breath so hopefully we will get through this.
