I have been having strange feelings in my throat, chest and head. About two months ago I had a feeling like something was stuck in the upper left side of my throat, sort of around my tonsil. It lasted for about a week and went away. About a week later it came back and then I was having a little pain in the area just under my jaw, down the front left of my neck and all around my collar bone. It is now occasionally giving me pain in the left side of my head, under my ear, and sometimes radiates into my shoulder area a little. I went to the doctor about three weeks ago and the doctor suspected strep throat, which I did not think I had, so I took a round of amoxicillin, which didn't help. The pain isn't severe, just there and annoying. I feel fine otherwise. I'm a little scared though b/c I've never had any medical problems and this just doesn't seem to be going away. I'm going to go back to the doc. now that I have insurance. The first doctor suggested that if the antibiotics didn't work, she wanted to check my thyroid, but could my thyroid be causing pain in the other areas? I do get muscle cramps, which I have read could be related to thyroid problems and also an irregular menstral cycle. Any information or suggestions are appreciated. I'm a 22 yr old female btw. I'm really stressing out over the whole situation. :unsure:
