This isn't really a question.. just something really interesting that happened to me in the ER once. I wasn't sure whether to post this here , so please move this thread if you need to.

I came in with injuries and was placed in a room along with 2 other patients in the emergency ward. As I passed by one patient while coming into the room, I could tell he did not look well at all, very pale. So I was laying on the gurney waiting for the doctor to come in. As time passed I had a really odd feeling about the patient next door. Almost like a sixth sense or intution told me that this patient was in real trouble medically. This feeling increased and a odd sense came over me that this patient was about to pass away. Of course I didn't want him to pass away, wanted to see him live. Really difficult to describe the feeling but I knew. Anyways a nurse came in to see me and I said "It's none of my business as to the patient's condition next door to me. I know it is confidential, but I have a really bad feeling that something is about to go wrong." She looked at me half weird, half believing and said "We are watching him closely, nothing to worry about." About 10minutes passed and the nurse came in to look at the patient next door to me. Next thing I knew she was yelling, one or two doctors came in and he was out of there. I never knew what happened, since I was taken to xray. After I was treated, the nurse came in and said "Oh my gosh, you were right. How did you know?" I said "I don't know, just a 'feeling' came over me." I asked if he was okay and she said yes he made it.

Things like this have happened to me before, not in a hospital setting, but in everyday life.

Hi canuck,

Well if you have a gift of a sixth sense. I guess there are reasons why you have such extra ordinary skills. Just learn to use it to help others. If you think it bothers you there are always psychiatrist and psychologist out there ready to lend you a hand!:p

I think he doesn't have sixth sense. Maybe the looks of the patient tells him that his not ok.

Some people have a very keen intuition. I think you are lucky in this sense.

Wow! That's amazing and also kind of scary. Perhaps you should work in an emergency room or hospital. With that type of sense, you may be a God send to many patients in the hospital.

Well still he atleast bothered to notice the patient beside him and also analysed his condition based on his looks.
His mind saw what the nurse couldnt see so you have to give him some credit.
