Started 8 or so month ago I think (not sure it was gradual)
the outside surface of my thighs will get "numb or tingly" feeling. this only occurs so far that I can tell in 2 positions.
Standing still erect and Lying flat on my back for bed.
I was informed that I tend to rock from foot to foot. This seems to have come on subconsciously and stops the numb feeling while standing which is probably why I started doing. Previous the numb was only while lying flat on back. I noticed it while standing erect when someone point out the rocking and I stopped doing it. The numbness came within moments.
This does not happen while active walking or sitting. There is no pain that I am aware of (I am unusually tolerant of pain and sometimes won't notice it right away) Nothing hurts and there are no injuries that I can think of.
I am very overweight. 370 pounds. I have lost 48 pounds in the last two months going from 418 to 370 since September 18th but the numbness far predates this. It has not gotten worse but also not better.
in bed it escalates in discomfort (but never to painful) until I change position. if I raise my legs so my knees point up and my feet are closer to my buttocks the numbness goes away but this is an annoying position so I don't maintain it. If I lay on my side the numbness goes away. Lying on my side is not comfortable either but less annoying than the numbness.
I was hoping the numbness was weight related but 48 pounds down and its still here.
Besides the weight I am otherwise very healthy. Good sugar levels (average 72) low blood pressure and cholesterol. I rarely get sick not even a cold.
Suggestions?
