Hi all any advice here would be wonderful.
I am worried about my father who has certainly not been himself for last 3-4 months, while lately his health seems to have deteriorated further.
He is a 72 year old man and as such isn't able to be as active as he use to be, however most recently he has been suffering from lower back pain, is extremely tired (to an extent where 6 months ago he could actively play 5 rounds of golf & now he struglles with just 1/doesn't go at all), he is not sleeping well, has had bad diarrhoea on & off for the last 3-4 months & he doesn't feel like eating his usual
foods. He use to weigh 15 stone and love his food, he now weighs 12 and a half stone and is far more selective about what he feels like eating at the time.
He has also previously had cancer of the lip and rodent ulcers removed from his head. This may not have any bearing on anything.
He has been to the doctors & he has told me that he has given blood, stool & urine samples, which have all came
back clear, for what the tested for i am not sure. I do feel he masks his symptons & it is very likely that he does not project how he's properly feeling to his Doctor.
Is there any information or advice from what ive typed you could offer & i could pass the advice on? Unfortunately he's quite stubborn and i believe he's afraid that he may have something like (prostate, colon, pancreatic) cancer.
Maybe his body isnt getting the proper balance of nutrients now, i just don't know or maybe he has irritable bowel syndrome?
Would it be worth, as such, forcing him to gett a full medical/CT scan? I am not sure if this available on the NHS?
