Ok, so my arm just started hurting yesterday. No idea what exactly caused the pain, but after it started hurting, I walked out of a restaurant by pushing the door open to get outside and my arm particularly the elbow region and just above that(upper forearm) just completely got such a severe pain I yelled out and then held my arm in pain. If it makes any difference, this is my right arm/elbow. Anyways, I went to walmart and got a heat wrap and some pain medication for it. When I got back home, I went to sleep still holding my arm. I woke up this morning and now my arm can't extend more than a 90 degree angle without pain. I can extend it 90 degree with pain, but when it is fully extended it doesn't hurt as bad. Then when I go and fold my arm back again and extend it again, the same pain occurs. It has something to do with my elbow not liking to extend. I thought this could possibly be elbow bursitis, but that is just a wild guess.

Hi. You may find some information on conditions affecting the arm and elbow on this site: http://www.painclinic.org/jointpain-elbow.htm

Consult your doctor to be sure. Diagnostic tests such as X-ray will help your doctor identify what has been causing your discomfort. Good luck.
