hi doc

i had surgery for epilepsy now 3 years on i believe i am having problems because of it

Ive had a constant rolling headache at times i lose total site in one eye really bad short term memory also from time to time i wake up with one side of my body totally numb or tingling unable to move it and I am clumsy and i seem to have really bad mood swings and i have very sharp stabbing pains around the site of the surgery and at 24 years of age with 2 brain surgery's done already i am truly scared of what the problem may be

can you please help

Hi- thanks for your question. I'm sorry you are not feeling well. It's hard for me to make comment without knowing your medical history, examining you, seeing your MRI pictures and so on- based on what you wrote I'd suggest that you talk to your neurologist about these symptoms. Neurological symptoms such as numbness, vision problems and others that come and go do not immediately strike me as something permanent as a complication of surgery- if one side of your body was constantly numb and weak, it might be attributable to the surgical damage, but coming and going these symptoms may be something else altogether. However, due to the fact that I have very limited knowledge about you, I cannot say anything for certain and I do recommend you talk to your own doctor about these concerns
