Hello,

I am a new member, like 3 minutes new. My wife has or has had many issues in the last few years. I am looking for advice on just how worried I should be. She is not terribly worried, or so it seems.

Early glaucoma
Early catarax
Frequent heart palpitations, perhaps from lack of sleep
Superficial venous thrombosis, below knee
Overweight
Trouble sleeping, sometimes not at all
Periods from 28-48 days, irregular at best
Some spotting between periods, not much and not pregnant
Pre-diabetes
Hair falls out at times
A lot of anxiety about the world around her

She is 36. She does not drink coffee, except for maybe 2-3 cups/week, no alcohol, drugs, smoking, etc. She has also commented many times about dying young, a feeling she has had since she was a young girl. So what of this is psychological and what is real, in your opinion? I am pretty worried about all this. We have a 4 year old as well, so it is not even for the two us that I am worried. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi. It must have been difficult for you to see your wife experiencing all those symptoms. Some of those ailments may be caused by psychological factors, but some could have organic cause. I hope that you would get to convince her to talk to her doctor. Only a careful evaluation of a health professional could confirm whether those symptoms are caused primarily by psychological issues or something else.

Thank you for the advice. Getting her to a doctor has always been my priority. But she is reluctant to go most of the time. I will check out your link. Thanks!

Your wife obviously needs to change her "picture of the world" or perception. A good psychologist will be able to help to her.
