pain in stomach area

a friend of mine, a 39 year old female is having alot of stomach pain. she says it is worse at night. she feels nausea. she has had all kinds of tests done. they did a scope test down thru the throat into the stomach. they did biopsies. all looked normal. they did a colonoscopy. nothing was found wrong. sorry about the miss spelling. she is a smoker. she drinks allot-not daily but every other day. just at night she drinks. she has asthma, copd & the beginning stages of emphysema. she also has panic attacks. what could the doctors be missing? could it be her gallbladder? if it was an ulcer wouldn't it have showed up in the tests? she has had 6 children. the oldest is 21 & the youngest is 13. the pain is just unbearable. what can she do about it? she can't even lay down to sleep. she has a hard time breathing as well. the pain in the stomach area used to only come if she slept on her back. now it happens every night.

The fact that she's been thoroughly examined by her own doctors means that, unfortunately, I won't be able to help her on this forum. Sorry I can't be of more help right now. If she is getting worse, she should go to the emergency room or contact her own doctor right away.

Once she's done that, and any medical emergency is taken care of, and the problem persists in the long term, if you want to provide a more detailed description of her symptoms, history, and the results of all the examinations, I can review them and try to give you some ideas.
