Hi there, I'm new here, I used to read the threads without signing up, but I thought I might aswell register and give it a go myself! :)

I would like some advice regarding some drugs I am taking. After having stitches on my head I am taking the drugs metoclopramide and clarithroycin. I now seem to feel confused, dizzy and seem to have to keep moving/jolting all the time. is this a side effect of the drugs? If so, should I still take them?

Better inform your doctor about those symptoms. Based on the information on this site: http://www.drugs.com/metoclopramide.html side effects such as confusion, uncontrolled muscle movements, agitation and rapid breathing, should be immediately reported o the doctor. Dizziness is also among the side effects of metoclopramide.

The most common, almost “expected”, side effects of the diet are constipation, acidosis and decreased weight gain. These are often addressed immediately when the diet is started, especially using Miralax for constipation. The less common side effects, generally occurring in 1 in 20 children, include high cholesterol, kidney stones, growth slowing, and gastrointestinal upset.Side effects should lessen in time, but make sure the doctor knows what is going on now as well. the rapid heart rate and shortness of breath does sound worrisome. Poor appetite might be that things taste odd at the moment.Lamictal can do this and it will ease in time. The mood problems is something that the neuro really should be aware of and track.

most common side effects of metoclopramide are nausea, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, restlessness or sleeplessness.
theese side effects are not too dangerous, so if you feel that you have more benifits of using this drug, you can keep taking it.
