My shoulder has been giving a pain ranging from a dull thud to a sharp stabbing sensation for the past couple of weeks that now causes a tingling/pins and needles sensation in my fingers; the rest of my arm does not exhibit any other symptoms. Wouldn't the pain travel from shoulder to fingers and not skip the rest of the arm? The tingling sensation in my fingers occurs mainly when I am subject to cold weather and mind you it is not that I am out for lengthy periods of time but, even so, still exists at some mild level even when I am indoors.
When I wake in the morning the shoulder pain is tolerable but as the day progresses and the more I aggravate my shoulder it becomes much, much worse. Also the PA. cold weather has an adverse effect driving the shoulder pain into the red zone. When I attempt to sleep the shoulder pain is preventing me from sleeping soundly. Is there nerve compression maybe in the neck that could be causing this?
