hi again,i posted a message last week in "muscles and bones" category.
when i twist my body at the hips, or bend over or rub the area in the back above the tailbone, and even at times, when i cough or speak,i can feel the nerves buzzing down the back of my legs into the feet.at times the bottoms of my feet have felt numb.my big toes hurt also, and theres tingling and my feet have felt painful and weak at times.i'm still baffled at this buzzing feeling and i also feel it when i'm not moving. it is coming from my back, so it feels.
could this be my spine needing an adjustment? a herniated disc? at times it also feels like i'm walking funny. any help would be appreciated.

It's possible that symptoms like these can be related to the spine - spinal stenosis for example, or disc herniation - or course, without examining you I can't say for sure, and there are other possible causes - so it would be a good idea to see a doctor about this. You may need a spine MRI.

thx for the reply dr joshua. theoretically,if it were the sciatic nerve involved,
could it be responsible for pain in the feet, around the ankles, the soles, the big toe especially when walking? i also get the pain down back of leg, behind the knee,on the side of the knee....

in theory, if it were the sciatic nerve, which i think it is,... can it produce pain in the feet as well as the legs? i have had burning on the outside of the right foot along with sometimes severe toe twitching, at the same time thighs twitching also. it is definitly nerves, i can tell you that, it feels like the nerve runs down the side of the leg past the knee into the foot. at times the soles will go numb on both feet, but mostly pain in and around ankle and heel, and of course that ever loving toe pain and twitching./
thx, john

It's possible, but there are also other possible causes, so a physical examination and possibly additional investigations such as spine MRI and/or ENMG is needed for definite diagnosis - only way to find out is to see a doctor about this.

thx again for the reply dr joshua. went to see my pm this morning. she says could be diabetes or the sciatic nerve, yes i forgot to mention,i have type 1 diabetes for 13 years, but the sugars were nver out of control, oh well, guess that doesnt matter according to my dr, i still think its from my spine, misalignment or whatever. also have chest pains from farther up in the spine, its out of alignment i hope. blood pressure always great, heart and lungs good and clear.i'm 48 and i feel like i'm 70.at any rate she gave me script for xrays T-1 and down including my feet.

given this new information, diabetic neuropathy is surely a possibility that needs to be seriously considered. i'm glad you went to see the doctor

well sir...of course i'm not a doctor, and i have heard that D.neuropathy can affect the sciatic nerve, but very rarely, and i have had the bad backaches
that most ppl get with sciatica, and now the backaches are few and far between but the leg and feet symptoms remain...isnt that the natural course for sciatica? the backaches go away but leg symtoms remain?
and one more question....will the spine xray show herniation or blown disc etc. ?

Spine X-ray will not show disc herniation but is commonly the first examination to be done when back problems are evaluated.
