Nose spur

Hello, I just got my CT scan back. The doctor called me today and said I had a nasal bone spur on the right side of my nose. My questions are:

-Is that why I'm always smelling funny smells (Smoke, Perfume, Sulfer)?

-They said they had to refer me to an neurologist, why would they want to refer me there if I just have a nose spur?

-What will they do for me?

Those are my questions, if anyone could answer, I would appreciate it.

Also, are nasal bone spurs a serious thing to do surgery on?

Maybe because nose spurs can cause migraine headaches according to what I have looked up on line. Otherwise for the surgery to correct I would think he would refer to an ENT surgeon. Ask him why.
