Are dishwashing soaps bad for wounds?

Are dishwashing soaps and pastes poisonous when they come into contact with wounds, with or without being washed off afterwards?

I wouldn't imagine that they'd be poisonous, since they're primarily soaps, but that's just my guess. Unless you're alergic I don't think there would be too many negative effects, maybe just some skin dryness. If you have symptoms, though, you should discuss them with your physican.
