Hi rhonberry,
Do you have a rash as well with your burning symtoms? I really don't know the cause, rosacea comes to my mind for the face, but I don't know about the ears being involved. Maybe you should be seen for an examination.
Let us know and good luck

Welcome back,
I'm assuming your a male, if not are you menopausal? Have you had past espisode with shingles? Maybe an allergy of some kind. This must be an uncomfortable symptom and I wish I could be of more help. I take it you haven't been seen by your Dr. , may be a good idea to run it by him/her.
Do let us know

Well you should be seen so you will know for sure, and if not premenopausal the Dr. can do testing to establish just what is causing this. The general concensus for menopause is 50 or over but its not uncommon to have symptoms well before it actually shows up in blood testing. I really dont know if flushing is what I was thinking, would last over an hour though. I am older then you and can't even give you any of my symtoms since about the only thing I have is occ. hot feet at night lollllllllllllll
Of course we are just guessing and all the more reason to be seen.
