I have been on the anti biotics quite a bit the past 14 months due to an infection from a fall I had last year. I had a bad gash on my left shin.
Since being on the anti biotics I have noticed a vaginal bleed. It's been very minimal and only shows up about 3 or 4 months. I have had a hysterctomy many years ago so the bleed wouldn't be from a montly cycle. I would like to know if anti biotics might cause the bleed or could it be from another problem?

There are some antibiotics that are associated with bleeding. What kind of antibiotic are you taking? You must notify your doctor about the vaginal bleeding that you've been experiencing. A physician's evaluation is very important in identifying the possible causes of your symptoms.

This last time I was taking clindamycin which I have just finished about 2 weeks ago.

Thank you very much Sue. :)
I thought of this the other day that it might be from this med as this has never happened before taking this.

You should consult your doctor because it may also be due to other causes.

I am not a doctor but I would suggest trying this expensive kind of antibiotic that the medical clinic at my college used to prescribe to me all the time, it is called Augmentin, it is really great for those of us who like to take antibiotic and don't like to get sick from the mold (?) I'm just guessing, but I had a great experience on this drug augmentin, it really worked, hope this helps.

Well everyone's system is different. The Doctors have to be very careful giving me any medication since I also have kidney disease, along with some other diseases. The skin specialist I am seeing always does a blood test before I leave to keep his eye on my kidneys and white cell blood count while I am on the anti biotics.
But thanks for your reply. :)

^That's true, hence even doctors will not just recommend medicines to anyone without careful evaluation.
