hello dr. my name is jessica heward and last thursday i fell in the shower and hit my head with the tile wall then busted my lip with the tup i passed out and then woke up to myself lying in the tub, i went to the hospital and they got a ct scan and they said everything was fine, so now i have a black eye that gets worst and the main thing that im worried about is this bunp that I have on my brow, its like a goose egg and its been more than a week, so Im wondering if this is ever going to go away, cause Ive never seen anyone with a bump that lasted that long, thanks in advance for ur response.

Did they scan the facial bones as well to look for fractures? The bump could be just the remains of blood under the skin, but it sounds like you hit your head pretty hard, and in your case it would be a good idea to have a follow-up visit with your doctor.

Hi, I couldn't find an appropriate thread for this, but I'm experiencing something now which I find odd. Some mornings when I wake up, the distance between posterior fontalle (top of back of my head) and the top of my face (forehead) is getting shorter. Its actually the top of back of my head moving into the skull. And I don't know what to to. Tried to sleep on my side of the head, but I cannot make back of my head come out.

My girl fell on the tiles last tuesday and hit her forehead, there was an egg instantly, and bruise, she didnt cry for long and continued to play straight after wards, wasnt dizzy or tired and was not sick , so i wasnt worried about her, as i have taken her to the docs for bumped heads previously and was told that the front of the head is the toughtest and unless they pass out or vomit they will be fine, well its a week since she hit her head and she still has a egg on her head, do you think i should be concerned?? has your child had a bump on their head that has lasted a week or longer??? thanks for your help

You can try to use medications (ointments or gels) on the base of Spongilla - water plant. It helps to dissolve different infiltrations.
