View Full Version : Glass in feet?

In the last few days I have had pain in the bottom of both my feet in numerous areas and they seem to be getting worse. It feels as if something is stuck in there and there was a broken glass in our kitchen a few days ago. That's the only thing I can think of to make sense of these pains. The skin on my feet is very thick and tough and I can't see and signs of entrance but when I apply pressure to the painful areas the skin turns purplish red and and seems to be raised a bit. It's getting to the point that it hurts to even walk through the house. I feel that if it is glass it is the smallest shards and I am afraid if I try to dig them out I won't be able to see them and make things worse. I currently don't have insurance so I'm apprehensive to go to the doctor, but if I do have to should I go to a family doctor or a foot doctor? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The family doc would be a good start unless you want to go to the ER. But be seen before you risk an infection.
