Abdominal pain which radiates to the back has various possible causes. It may be related to conditions that affect the gall bladder, bile, kidneys and pancreas. Duodenal ulcer may also present as abdominal pain that radiates to the back. The most common symptom of duodenal ulcer the upper abdominal pain which seem to originate from below the breastbone, this usually occurs before meals or when the patient is hungry. The pain maybe relieved with food or antacids. There are also instances when food worsens the pain. People with abdominal aortic aneurysm may complain of back pain as well as abdominal pain and tenderness. An aortic aneurysm characterized by the weakness and bulging in the aorta, the largest blood vessel in the body which supplies blood to the abdomen, pelvis and lower extremities. The bulge in the aorta may rupture and may cause life-threatening complications. Other symptoms of aortic aneurysm include: clammy skin, nausea and vomiting, increased heart rate when standing up, anxiety and abdominal rigidity. Your girlfriend needs immediate medical attention, you can not address her problems yourself. She has to be examined by health professionals in order to identify what has been causing her symptoms, and from there proper treatment would be administered. Good luck.
