Lump on back of head

I am a female and I am 19 years old. I noticed a few days ago that I have a lump on the back of my head. It is on the lower right side. It is about the size of a large grape. It is also painful when pressure is applied to it and it is giving me headaches. I am may need to inform you that I have high blood pressure and I am on Toprol for it. I also lost my father to melanoma when I was 10. What is this?

Sorry you have this lump. We do have glands back there and sometimes they can be sore. Most times they go away. Maybe it would be best if you were seen and examined to alleviate your concerns since you have headaches and high BP too. You may use the google search for extra Reading on this also. Good Luck
