My father is 68 years old, and worked several years ago
cleaning chemical barges. He was exposed to several chemicals. He has elavated cancer markers in his blood work, shortness of breath, dry cough, weight loss and irritable sinuses. He has an enlarged lymph node in his chest cavity. Any ideas what his diagnosis may be? Please help me.

There is research about certian chemical possibly effecting ones chance of getting non- hodgkins lymphomia. I'm curious as to what his physician are doing regarding testing etc. and have they given him a possible diagnosis yet. I'm certainly not saying this is what he has as I am no Dr. Please dicuss all your questions with his physician for a complete diagnosis.

That may be a lung cancer, sarcoidosis, even a tuberculosis. Bronchoscopy and lymph nodes biopsy have to be done. After that doctor could be able to state a diagnosis. That should be done, because anyone is able to state a diagnosis, having only the cancer markers.
