View Full Version : Foot blister infection?
Four weeks ago a accrued a blister on the bottom of my foot. It was about the size of a half dollar coin. The skin fell off and I was left with an open wound. I applied antibacterial cream to the area and put on a band aid. The size of it appeared to be going down but has stopped, it‘s now about the size of a quarter. It is leaking everyday this yellowish fluid. I have now started to apply peroxide and leave the area uncovered hoping it will dry out. Yet, the area around the wound is greenish. I’m not to sure if it’s related or not but my ankle has started to swell, and I have had some reddish bumps that almost look like chicken poxs that run up my leg. Any advise or help would be appreciated.

Green or yellow drainage from wounds usually indicates infection. Better visit your doctor for proper treatment. Ankle swelling may or may not be related to your wound. Bacterial infection may cause cellulitis and it may cause the ankles to swell. Other than bacterial infections, conditions such as gout, arthritis and vascular disorders are only few of the possible underlying causes of ankle swelling. There are also more that a hundred conditions that can manifest as bumps on the skin.

Jann, were you walking barefoot in days before you've noticed that wound?
To me, foot wound, rash and ankle pain sound connected (infection of lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes maybe).
Go to the doctor as soon as possible.

Hi jann,
Sorry to hear of your foot condition. Its obvious you have a wound infection, but your prior medical history is only known by your physician. I could ask questions regarding such as how you got this blister, is it directly on the bottom of your foot in what area, heel etc., are you a diabetic, do you have any vascular conditions? The best safest way is to not take any chances with your foot esp since now you have symptoms up the ankle and leg. Complications from bacterial infections can be very nasty and even requiring iv antibiotics. Do not wait, be seen and asap. Let us know how you do here on the forum and good luck.

A strictly clean diet- along with the Oil of Oregano-No sugar, white flour products etc. at first its very hard to do this-but, whole foods, trader joe's etc. stores make it possible. Learn all you can of a healthy diet to have radiant health and enjoy your life I do pray you the best. I am a Christian so of course, I suggest Jesus Christ as your best friend. Read my experience-it may help you some. It could be allergies, parasites (as simple as from salad bars etc-people don't wash their hands). This helped me: OIL OF OREGANO--very simple foods-Drink lemon in 2qts of water w/stevia to sweeten a day-cleansing, clean colon out-be at your right weight, no sugar, white flour foods.

I doubt any oil of oregano will help if your have an active infection. See your physician. Untreated bacterial infections can be very serious and can enter your blood stream for further life threatening complications. Be seen promptly by a Dr and not a herbalist
