My neice, she's 14 yrs old, started dating her 3rd cousin, he's 20. I went to my mom's one day where my neice lives & found out he was across the road with her & another minor in an abandoned building. Called the police, they took him & her both to the jail house, her because she was smarting both them & her mother off. But they both got released same night. Took my mom to the court house & they let her file a peace bond in hopes to keep them away from each other. It didn't work. He was told to stay away from her home, didn't matter, he came anyways. My mom caught him in the bathroom with her 4 in the morning, her brother caught him in her bedroom with his shirt off. My mom called the police & they wouldn't do anything, said the peace bond wasn't worth the paper it was written on. That he would have to get my neice pregnant before they could do anything, and then they could get him for statatory rape. Not only does the age issue make me want to vomit, but it's her cousin. He started dating this other girl too and we found out through another cousin of ours whom is friends with her that she has HIV and that he's been sleeping with her. Then a note was found on the bus from my neice telling someone that she had slept with him and that she was pregnant. I already saw a hicky he put on her neck before that. So what's the chances she has HIV now 99.999%? My concern is whether or not my mom will choose to make her be tested or not. If she chooses not to, is there a public health place you can call to report something like this happening? My biggest concern is other people getting contracted with this disease because nothing was done. Can I do anything at all?
