Vasectomy issue

Hi! Thanks for taking time to read this.
Its been 2 mos and 5 days since my vasectomy, and I am not a happy camper. There is some sort of growth under my left testicle that feels like raspberries, and the left side above my testicle is tender to the touch and feels grainy when pressed. This has been around for about a week now. I felt pretty good for awhile, but seem to have digressed instead of improved. I can feel both clips that were used to clamp my vas occasionally. The pain is not unbearable, but it wears me out after a whole day of work, and i get numbness and lower back pain every day and it all seems to be connected to my testicular pain. I cannot ejaculate without being in pain the next day . I was a jogger, but now it wears me out to even walk around the block. Honestly, i am very afraid i will never be back to normal again.
Can you please tell me if this is normal after 2 months? My Doc says it will go away, and i could have this for up to 6 months, but what about all the guys who get a vasectomy and are back to normal in 2 weeks?
It seems to me that this developed after having ejaculated three times in one week....after the third time, i felt the raspberry like substance the next day below the testicle and the tenderness above the left testicle as well. I have yet to be completely pain free after an ejaculation.
After reading up on the web, it seems there are lots of guys with permanent problems after a vasectomy, and if i am one of them, i am going to be very upset.
Any advise, or positive thoughts you can help me out with would be appreciated!!

PS : to top it all off, my first semen test came back with one dead sperm, so i failed and need another test!

I'm sorry to hear about your discomfort about your vasectomy. Recovery does vary a lot from person to person, and while I'm in no position to say if the recovery is going well in your case, the fact that some people recover faster doesn't necessarily mean that there is something wrong with your recovery. If your doctor says this will go away within six months, I wouldn't worry too much about this being a permenent problem--you can cross that bridge later if you need to, but it seems a bit premature now. Perhaps you can talk to your doctors about methods to handle your symptoms as your recover. Good luck and keep us posted!

Granulomas may occur as complications of vasectomy. These "raspberry" like growths may or may not be granulomas. The best idea is to talk to the surgeon who did the procedure, and if you are not satisfied with his answer, get a second opinion.

Thank you both for your replies.
Just to keep you posted, i have been diagnosed with Epidiymitis.
It is obviously a complication of the vasectomy, and it is only one side (the left).
The dr just told me to take tylenol for about a month 3x a day if my stomach can tolerate it. The problem is now that because of my condition, i am nauseaus much of the time and tylenol really does not agree with me, nor do i feel tylenol is going to knock out this problem any time soon. I start out good in the mornings, and i deteriorate rapidly...usually by 3:00 i am ready to lie down for the night because this condition exhausts me so much. It sort of creeps up on you.
Everything i have read on this subject indicates I should be on an antibiotic of some kind. My concern is that because after ejaculation, there is a burning sensation that there may be an infection. This whole thing really is a nightmare, and I have prodded the Dr to put me on an antibiotic, but i dont feel that i should be doing the diagnosis myself!! I feel a bit better since the antibiotic (cipro) and have more energy, but i am deathly afraid the next ejaculation will set me back further, so i have not had sex with my wife in almost 3 weeks. I am very scared this will never go away. Has anyone else had this condition post vasectomy??
Looking for some hopeful thoughts here...

Usually, antibiotics are used in the treatment of epididymitis. However, I'm not a urologist and you should always follow your own doctor's orders. You may want to get a second opinion from another urologist, if you feel that your care leaves you with unanswered questions.
