This may sound very immature, I'm 56 years old, "At what point do you ask for a 2nd opinion". I've been under my doctors care for one month now:
My doctor has run and is running many blood tests and x-rays:
Some test results are back - she wants to wait until everything is tested and she consults with other doctors for a diagnosis before discussing everything with me. Extra Strength TYLENOL does not take the body aches away.
Cholesterol levels are high - not serious, hemoglobin 6.5 and others tests. She has not given me any answers of what's going on or even a guess. She keeps asking for family history, which has been provided over & over again. In 2004 I had 3 mini strokes, in 2006 stomach ulcers & hiatal hernia found.
Last week a serious Osteoporosis result from my bone density test.
I'm so miserable - Ill-tempered - moody from days & days of body aches and fatigue - body ache like the 1st day of flu.
I'm not a person to panic and think the worst. Been ill before and have dealt with it.
An idea's or suggestions would be appreciated
Any tests I can ask for.
Thanks - New here

Dear Life,

I do not know what other test results you have, but you are extremely anemic if your Hemoglobin is 6.5 and that should be corrected immediately! This could make you feel fatigued, moody, etc. Go have it corrected if it is truly 6.5%. You will need a transfusion! Are you sure your are not mistaken?

Welcome to the forum, asking for a second opinion is but natural is not a form of immaturity. You can ask for a second opinion anytime you want if you are not satisfied with the findings of your doctor.
I wish you the best of health always....:p
