Do u know what is wrong!!!!!!!!!

I have a 7year old son and when he was 3months old he began getting what I would call fluid under his head and when you would hold him it would look like a big baseball of jello under his skin. I took him to the doctor and the doctor done an MRI but said that it was just under the skin but if it was still there when he was 6months old they was going to send him somewhere to get a sample of the stuff in his head but by then it was gone but now he is 7years old and it doesn't look like that nomore but his skin on his head is very lose I don't know if I should still be concerned and get him to a specialist or if I should just quict being a worry wart someone please help......thanks

Welcome to Dr. Joshua's forum. I certainly don't know the answer, but I share your concern for your son. I was reading about a condition at birth (cephalohematoma) which is a collection of blood under the outer covering membrane of one of the skull bones . But this usually or can occur at birth and and clears in a few weeks. It didn't mention as you did 3 months old. Did the Dr. address with you a term for this when you took him for the MRI? Some time has elapsed now that he is 7years old? Maybe a trip to a specialist is in order to explain the loose skin too.
