Hi, I've got a question for you guys. One day, I noticed that on the sides of my head (more or less an inch or two above my ears) and also running above the start of my right eyebrow, I have vertical-running dents in my skull that I can feel. They aren't visible - just noticed when I rub the area. The two on either side are symmetrical, but the one on my forehead isn't centered, which I found... odd.

I'm inquiring because, basically... if you're reading this, could you check these places on your skull? Do you have these weird dents? If not, do you think this is some birth defect, or what? My mom did smoke while pregnant with me, I admit. When I was born, my head was proportionally equal to my body.

I hope someone out there can help me with this odd question of mine.

hi!

Is the vertical dent on your skull still bothering you? I think you shouldn't worry about it if it is not causing you any problem such as pain.

In the skull, there are what we call sutures. Sutures are where the plates of the skull join together. The fuse when you grow up. But in some people you can still fell those. That's probably what you have. Don't worry about it much. You're fine.
