I went off the pill in May 2006. I immediately experienced tenderness in the gut area. It hurt to press on my mid-gut, run, etc. This went away after about one week. I assumed it was hormonal after being on the pill for so long. Two weeks later I had a tubal. Internal photos were taken during the surgery, I had a clear pap, so I didn't worry when the tenderness returned a month later. Since May, I have had this same tenderness for about one week in the middle on each cycle. It comes with a lot of very clear (egg-white) discharge, mild discomfort during sex and a lot of gut tenderness. It feels like my cervix is swollen or something. In my past I have had a lot of problems with IBS. This worsened in July. I am presently on Modulin (trimebutine), but still experiencing frequent diarrhea.

Any advice? Could the problems be related? Since my pap in May was clear, should I request another?

Thanks.

I posted awhile back about a monthly pain I have mid-cycle. This month it is worse. It started yesterday, about 16 days after the first day of my period. It was slight discomfort yesterday, but tonight it is worse. It hurts to press on my gut area, all up the center. When I sit down, it hurts in my rectum and up through my gut area. It feels like my cervix and other female organs are swollen and tender. It hurts when I walk or jump, but not at all if I am laying or sitting still. It's feels like someone has punched me in the gut and it's deeply bruised. As I stated before I have been having bowel problems since July '06 (diarrhea). This monthly pain started right after I stopped my birth control pill. I had my tubes tied in June, after the pain had already occurred. I will be seeing my doctor in about two weeks. I know It's time to bring it up to her. Does anyone have any ideas or advice in the meantime? I'm worried about endometriosis and stuff...but it doesn't make sense that it only accurs mid-cycle and it seems to be getting worse each month. Also, when I had my tubes tied, the surgeon took photos and stuff and nothing was out of the ordinary. I would appreciate advice.

Thanks.

Hello Lyn

Sorry you have so much discomfort. Keep your appointment with your Dr. to find out what is causing this. There is too much help available to continue to live with such unpleasant symptoms. Heres a link for reading and good luck.
