I'll make it as short as I can. Yesterday I landed on the inside of my left knee pretty hard coming down at a diagonal angle, so not straight down onto the knee. I honestly can't recall my knee twisting in any way, but for all I know it did. About two hours after the injury was when the real pain started. I was unable to walk without some support from walls or furniture around me. There has been no swelling but I have iced a few times. I didn't sleep very well last night because of the pain I had in my knee. There is a very light yet hardly noticable bruise where I landed, but the real pain in right around the head of the fibula on the medial part of the knee (one inch above the bruise). I've looked online at diagnosis tools and they have all said either meniscus tear, anticular cartilage (I think), and MCL tear. I'm doubting the MCL because I'm familiar with a lot of people who have torn knee ligaments and my sympotoms don't sound as severe. But I really don't know how severe any of these diagnosis' are so I'm unsure if I'm just being a baby about soreness or I actually have one of these problems.

My sympotoms are again, trouble walking, knee feels week, cannot straighted fully without pain. I can put some weight on the knee, but find if I do put weight on the knee eventually it locks, or I just receive extreme shooting pain on the inside of my knee. No specific movement causes pain constantly except the straightening of my knee. All the causes of pain are inconsistant and not specific. Thanks for the help.

In your cases, maybe a surgeon may offer a possible meniscus repair surgery for damaged or torn cartilage.

I would definitely visit an orthopedic surgeon to discuss your options.
