Hello

I have a quick question. Ive had a sore throat for the past day or two, nothing out of the ordinary (my throat gets sore quite a bit). I was just inspecting my mouth, seeing if there was anything serious going on, and I noticed that the roof of my mouth is all white and yellow. I also noticed that I'm getting freckle like spots on my cheeks. I'm not sure if this is serious, or just symptoms that I normally get and have never noticed. This couldn't be oral cancer or anything serious could it? I'm going to my dentist in a few weeks, but I can't wait until then to know. Can anyone help me? I've posted a few pictures.

Thanks :)

I recently had my first ever case of thrush after surgery. The biggest things for me were the white "freckles" as you call them (which the area would bleed slightly if they came off, either that or just be "raw"), and a really sore throat. I took antibiotics for a week, even though it cleared up withing 3 or 4 days.

So, if I were you I'd just go to a doctor and get it checked. If it is something as simple as thrush, you can get it sorted quickly. Also, if it is thrush, you may have to reschedule your dental appointment, cause it's contagious and most of the time they will ask you to come back when it's cleared up. They can't risk getting it themselves, or having other patients getting it.

Thanks so much for the reply!
the freckles I have are actually brown! They really look like normal freckles, just inside of my cheek, and there are only one or two of them. Also, I've been reading up on thrush, and I'm not sure if you looked at the pictures I posted, but it doesn't really look like the pictures I'm seeing of thrush and there is absolutely no bleeding when i scrape or brush it.

Did you look at the pictures I posted? Does it look anything like what you had when you had thrush?
