My daughter is 7. Over the past year, she has pubic hair, but no breast buds. She has had significant weight gain over the past two years. She has had school problems, and the last 30 days, has intermittent low grade fever. When she has the fever, she feels significant nausea. She always comes home from school feeling tired and drained and immediately wants to lay down. Her family practice physician sent her to a pediatric endocrinologist who ordered blood work. DHEA, Estradiol, Glucose, Thyroxine, TSH, Hydroxyprogestone were ordered but everything came back within normal limits. I don't know if the low grade fever has anything to do with the prepubescent issues, but I know my daughter should not be feeling the way she does everyday. What do I do now?

Hi,

How is your daughter? Have you already seen a doctor to consult about your daughter's condition? I think it is best to see an endocrinologist. Your daughter might be suffering from precocious puberty, which is early onset of puberty signs to females. For more information, please see link:

I hope to hear about your daughter's case, and hoping all will be well for her.
