Hi,
I am a 38 yr old female. Mostly high energy and active but over past five years go through
severe periods of fatigue, often with sickness to include, sinus infections, ear infections, bladder infections, skin rashes , dry mouth, lump in throat and constant constipation.
Blood test had revealed anti sypinrin issue. Was sent to Liver specialist who said is was
most likely fatty liver and not to worry. More recently blood test show ANA at 180 and
RF factor of 19.
Was referred to Rhuemotology but they have denied the referral from the main Doctor.
Now the Doctor's office is not returning my call. It's been several months since the blood
test was done. I'm not really sick at this time, just pale and worn out.
Should I be worried? Doctor has ordered test because Lupus was suspected but if Rheumotology doesn't want to see me, does that mean that my score may be nothing to worry about? I mostly have trouble with constipation more than anything but it doesnt seem to concern the Doctors.

Hi smc, your symptoms are not specific to Lupus or any other disease, and the significance of the ANA and RF is unclear as I'm not even sure what these numbers mean, the normal values vary from lab to lab and also it depends whether we are talking about titers or units.

You should push this issue and ask for an explanation as to why the referral was denied, and what is planned instead.
