I am male 54 years old. My total cholesterol is 225. LDL is 138 HDL is 74. Should I be on Lip[itor? I have no other risk factors for CHD.

You cholesterol and LDL are slightly elevated. It's quite possible you can normalize them by making changes to your diet. If not, you'll need to discuss the pros and cons of statin treatment as applied to your specific case with your own physician.
