Headache, nausea and swelling left arm

I was recently put on Effexor for depression and Butalbital for terrible headaches. I am still having the headaches and am now nauseous since starting the meds. Today, and this came on kinda rapidly, my left arm, just above and below the elbow, on the inside of my arm, started hurting and then my husband noticed it was swollen. I am overweight, having gastric bypass in January, and have no other comorbs due to obesity. I come from a long line of depressed women in my family and have lost my infant daughter 7 years ago and I still struggle with the depression from that. I am hurting kinda badly but not convinced that I need to rush to the doctor. My mom has put thoughts in my head though and I am trying not to over react. She watches those medical shows and said my symptoms indicate a brain tumor. Ugh. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Greetings, I am not a doctor... to me it seems like the meds arnt doing much for you and maybe causing side effects You will have to look at some of the underlying issues ie. how much you want to take control of your life. Make a commitment to reprogram yourself to a healthyer lifestyle and fulfilling your basic human needs, Our programing from the past may tend to lead you in a stressful "holding pattern". A healthyer lifestyle may include discovering and resolving any mental factors that have progamed you;)
