Mini Stroke?

I am a 34 year old women. I just had a new baby 6 months ago, and have statred taking "yaz" birth control pills. I am a smoker (1/2 pack a day). Last night a had a very strange experience that has frightened me... I was watching TV when my eyesight began to blur and the light and images from TV appeared to trail out. My right hand and fingers suddenly got very numb and tingly. I went out side to get some air, and then I started to feel very confused. I started to try to talk to myself (outloud) but my words did not seem to come out right, or did'nt sound right to me, not sure If I was not pronouncing them correctly or I was not hearing them correctly. I was very scary and confusing. I went back in and laid down, trying to relax and suddenly I was fine again... everything was back to normal. Please tell me what it could have been and/or what could have caused such an experience. Could it have been a "Mini stroke"? Thanks!!!

I have had the same thing and mine was called the migraine aura without the migraine. Mine was caused by the birth control pills. I would go talk to a neurologist to be sure because that is very scary and not something you want to mess around with. the neuro will do tests if they think they are needed, but it could just be do to your birth control pills.
